And then there's your back
Most shapewear is bought for how it looks and abandoned for how it feels. This one is structured through the spine, so it holds you upright rather than just holding you in.
If you're on your feet for a shift, driving a long way, or at a desk from nine until six, that support is usually what makes the difference between wearing it once and wearing it weekly.
Looks good on. Feels good by six.
Before you order
Wearing it
Getting it on: step in rather than pulling it over your head. Fasten the loosest row first and work tighter as the fabric relaxes over the first few wears.
Your first week: start with two or three hours. Firm compression takes some getting used to, and there's no prize for pushing through discomfort.
It should feel snug and supported. Not pinching, not painful, not making it hard to take a full breath. If it does any of those, it's the wrong size — go up.
Making it last
Hand wash cold, or machine wash cold inside a mesh bag. Hang to dry.
No tumble dryer, no iron, no bleach, no dry cleaning. Heat damages stretch fibres, and the stretch is what does the work. Washing it gently helps it last.
